The Web Conf Announcement

hi @snehananavati,

could i ask, for winning teams, can we do the paper presentation via virtual zoom? So with reference to this link: Registration | International World Wide Web Conference 2025 ( WWW2025 | The Web Conf 2025 ) it would be AUD550 for the pre conference non ACM. I understand that if this option is avaliable, only the registration fee of AUD550 would be reimbursed from the travel grant and thats fine. The in-person presentation for lower winning teams would be not feasible as the cost of in-person registration (AUD950) and the cheapest flight there would already exceed the travel grant. Hope the organising team is able to consider our geographical locations relative to the conference location and its resultant costs incurred for us.Thank you!

โ€ผ๏ธ โœ๏ธ Important: Submission Documentation Guidelines

  1. The 24 hour grace period โ€“ so we can reupload and adjust our repo and documentation? Which is done via the same google link? If that is so, do we still need to make a submission before the deadline even if its empty documentation and repo? Or can we still make our first submission during the grace period. Ie. will we be disqualified if we dont make a submission via the google link before the deadline, even if its an empty repo and document.
  2. How are we supposed to make the github repo private and accessible to you? Could you provide the user to allow access to?
  3. Can the repo be github? instead of gitlab

Is the distribution of labels in the training set the same as the distribution of labels in the test set?

For eg, in the training set. โ€˜Heating_Demand_Sensorโ€™ and โ€˜Cooling_Demand_Sensorโ€™ do not have any โ€˜1โ€™ labels. Thus its impossible to predict for those labels theres not data with โ€˜1โ€™ label to learn from.

Does that mean the test set will also have no instances of those 2 labels as class 1? If thats the case, why are they included as labels from the start?

hi @snehananavati , can I confirm that

  1. There is an additional test set that is not currently avaliable. The final score will be how the model performs on the current public leaderboard test set and this holdout test set which only becomes avaliable after 3rd Feb?

  2. If the above is true, is it possible to know the distribution of the seperation. For eg, (training 20%, public test set 20%, private test set 60%)

  3. What is final submission deliverables for round 2 on 3rd Feb? Is it the current format of just the predicted csv, or the entire model pipeline (to be run on the unseen test set)?

thanks

you can unserialise the pickle files on the cloud and save them to csv if you are worried about the random code execution on your local machine. For eg google collab
